The City of Cologne has a Paid-On-Call (Volunteer) Fire Department consisting of approximately 30 firefighters who live or work in the City of Cologne.

The Cologne Fire Department expects a high level of professional conduct from all members. Each member is required to be familiar with and abide by all Fire Department rules, regulations, policies, and operating guidelines. These stringent guideline’s help prepare the community’s firefighters meet the challenge that each alarm brings when duty calls.

All of our members are Firefighter I and Firefighter II certified. All members are First Responder Certified and out of those, many are also EMT certified. The Cologne Fire Department members appreciate your support as we continually strive to make the City of Cologne a fire safe city.

EMERGENCIES:

The Cologne Fire Department members are notified of an emergency by carrying a pager that is activated from the Carver County Sheriffs Office 911 Center. Our agency works closely with the Carver County Sheriffs Office and Ridgeview Medical Center Ambulance Service on all emergency runs.

Also we work and train closely with neighboring communities, as well as the Carver County Hazmat Group and the Carver County Dive Team.
